Went for a walk in Calgary’s Inglewood Bird Sanctuary and saw this beauty. Always love when I get a peek at the bright under-feathers!

Found a group of waxwings gathered at the lake. Most hid in shade, but was able to snap this one coming in for a landing. Such pretty colors!

This photo doesn’t give justice to the spectacle we paddled through. I’ve seen loons before, but never this many. There were hundreds, maybe thousands. Many were like the one on left, which we later learned were non-breeding adults. Prince Albert National Park continues to be an amazing treat for wildlife.
